Project Cost Control

CEI has adopted various methods of ensuring quality on project designs and documentation. We use an internal computerized office management program to track hours of all employees on projects. Our system allows us to produce immediate reports on efforts to date as well as the ability to project costs into the future.

In addition to this, we have developed a dynamic Estimate-to-Complete (ETC) project cost control management system that allows us to track project spending against the budget in many different ways. This system is adaptable to any clients needs for project cost control. We frequently interface directly with client accounting groups to maintain reporting structures and tracking methods required by the client's corporate systems. 

Our method of cost control involves traceability of the following areas:

  • Approved budget

  • Cost projections and estimates

  • Quotations and bids

  • Contract numbers

  • Cash flow

  • Contingency amounts

  • Percentage complete

We can provide organization of project cost data by:

  • Factory area

  • Corporate cost accounts

  • Any other required method

We have successfully utilized this system to manage cost on projects up to $55,000,000.
