Logan Intl. Ltd. Potato Processing Facility

Early in 1995, CEI was contacted by Logan International, Ltd. and asked to provide process engineering and other services for a new potato processing plant in Boardman, Oregon. The purpose of this project was to design, construct, and have operational a potato processing facility located in the Port of Morrow Industrial Park at Boardman, Oregon.

CEI responsibilities for this project included Process and Project Management Support.

Highlights of the project included:

  • Provided a facility capable of producing 12,500 lb/hr of French Fried potatoes with:

      - Raw receiving
      - Processing
      - Packaging
      - Freezing
      - Storage capabilities

  • Storing up to 10,000,000 lbs of frozen finished product in an on-site cold storage.
     
  • The facility includes:

      - Employee welfare
      - Production office
      - Quality assurance rooms capable of supporting production requirements

  • The process water pre-treatment, meets with the Port of Morrow wastewater discharge requirements.

  • Steam and natural gas service is provided from the nearby PGE co-generation plant.

  • Construction was completed August 1996.
