Since 1988, Covert Engineers, Inc. (CEI) has specialized in engineering services to the food processing and packaging industry. Our primary focus is: Process Design Packaging Design Industrial Refrigeration Systems Project Management

Our experienced engineering staff have all come from food processing companies before joining CEI, giving us the in-depth knowledge, background and expertise needed to provide high quality services in the food processing and packaging industry.

We do 100% of our yearly business in the food industry and complete small to very large projects involving a variety of products. Over the past 17 years we have gained experience in the processing of potato products, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, fish, vegetables, crackers, bakery products, meat & poultry, fruit & fruit leather and many more. To supplement process design we also provide process support engineering services for refrigeration, steam generation, and mechanical piping systems and controls.

CEI is a consulting group that is not affiliated with equipment vendors. This allows us to maintain an unbiased approach to equipment selection that is based purely on benefits and cost to the project. We are often able to save our clients substantial amounts of capital funds through the competitive bidding of equipment and services. This process also results in the generation of extremely comprehensive performance specifications and helps to eliminate vendors and contractors that are not prepared to perform against these as a deliverable.
